The art of reading tea leaves is referred to as Tasseography, known as a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves,
coffee grounds, or wine sediments. The reading of coffee grounds, like tea reading, The term also refers to the reading of coffee grounds, especially used in the Middle Eastern tradition.
After a cup of tea has been poured, without using a tea strainer, the tea is drunk or poured away. The cup should then be shaken well and any remaining liquid drained off in the saucer.
The diviner now looks at the pattern of tea leaves in the cup seeing shapes and objects, such as: Snake, house, Axe, Anchor, Acorn, Apple, Candle, etc.
You may see the tea leaf patterns on this site:http://www.crystalinks.com/tealeaves.html
You can also ask questions and stir them and get your answers by stirring 3 times in a counter-clockwise direction then invert your cup over the saucer giving enough time to let
the liquid drain away then turn your cup the right way it won't matter how many leaves are there left, even if you have 1 pattern.
Tea leaf reading takes practice, no matter how simple it might seem. If you cannot make out what the leaves are simply turn your cup and see if you recognize them better
they may be different from all different angles. Don't force it to answer yes or no questions, you may find that you'll get a better answer than what you were looking for.
Like tarot cards they will give a specific answer, ask a question that will get you more information than just a yes or no, it will give you a better connection and better
practice with your readings.
