Hello, I'm new here, I took a look at the site and I had a question, can the feiticos in English be recited in another language? I already tested the make it rain and it worked, I wanted to know if it works in another language

Hello Kratos. Yes You can cast your spell in your native language as long as you feel more confident on doing it.
Regarding "Making Rain", Unfortunatelly it was only a coincidence since theres no such way on manipulating elements of Nature. You can work with it but not manipulate it.
Many spells posted in this website are fake and has no logic so I recomend you common sence by reading them.

Best Regards,
F.

I don't know where this "no weather magic" bit comes from, because human societies all over the world have spiritual actions dedicated to weather.

When you stop thinking of magic as, "I'm controlling," and more as, "I'm realizing my will by contributing to the greater flow of things," there is no conflict for magic involving rain and the like. What matters is that you get your end result more often than not, rather than how much "you" are doing. We don't treat other magics like this, so why weather? It could be argued that all magic is coincidental, but as long as we're getting the results and we feel right with what we do and believe, I don't see an issue.

In regards to things like weather magic, I think the concern is mainly in the common progress of people developing bad mental habits. It is easy for the ego to step in and say "I can control the weather!", which is typically seen as an erroneous assumption akin to saying "I can make a fireball!"

Historically, rituals around rain, weather, and harvest all came together and it was about currying favor with the deity's responsible for those things. And so you are not physically changing the air currents and cloud movements to cause rain to fall. In most cases, deific offerings especially, it was focused on the entire season itself and centered on receiving adequate water and conditions for a successful harvest. Not so much about wishing for rain on a particular day or in the moment.

So, I guess it amounts to a question of scale. One is about subtle influence to create more long-term beneficial conditions, the other is the illusion of direct and immediate control to effect a specific change.

But here again, this could be said about any magic. Personally I think it's more arrogant to assume that others feel a certain way or that we even know how our magic works at all. It isn't science and we don't know *for sure* how it works; we just know that what we do works for us more often than not. That's it. If we're going with what we feel is right and we're getting results more often than not, then why is there an issue?

It's good for people to experiment for themselves. Magic that happens in the moment isn't a bad thing and a lot of "seasoned practitioners" practice it as a part of our daily lives anyway. I've sat down with plenty of people who are unwilling to talk about the magics they practice because it doesn't fit this perpetuated idea of what magic should or shouldn't be. How do we move past that? We take a step back, take things with a grain of salt, and actually talk about why we feel such a way about whatever practice.

I don't think it's fair to assume that every new person is going to fall down this trap that likely hasn't even crossed their minds. When we introduce people to magic that way, we often set up those mental hurdles that often take years before we realize what they are and overcome them - when they might not have had those hurdles at all.

As someone with 8 and a half years of conscious and intended magical practice, I can safely say that there were plenty of things I took a long time with unnecessarily because of people imposing failures on others that wouldn't have been an issue otherwise.

Weather magic aside, I think you're missing the point of the question, guys. You can use any language you are comfortable with for a spell. The wording isn't what matters most - all it does is help focus your will as you cast.

The point wasn't missed. It just didn't need re-hashing.

Personally I find that speaking in Icelandic over my mothertongue nabs my subconscious' attention more easily. When I speak in Icelandic, my words do carry the weight of my intent and they do matter in terms of magical practice and (more importantly, in my case) spirit work.

I wouldn't say there are automatic limitations for what language is being used in magic, but that's already been said twice now.

I was once taught that the language doesn't matter. Where the power of words come from is your understanding of the words.
