Delving Deeper

I have just started to delve deeper into the Norse beliefs, by viewing some articles and a very lengthy video, I have witnessed one thing, the Norse Gods are very brutual. When Odin's father and his two brothers confronted the first giant in regards of it's noisiness, and the giant only returned their asking with violence, they kill the giant and used it's body parts to form the planes we know of today. I don't know how much of this is accurate, but it seem kind of realiable, but hey, you never learn until you talk about it. I know before anything, there was only emptiness in the world, until out of nowhere came two planes that one made of fire and the other of ice, both very dangerious places, I know that according to Norse belief, Odin created humans, by breathing the breathe of life into a log that I belief was burnt from the Yggorsil, the invisible tree that holds the planes.

I suggest that you read the Eddas. The creation story you mention is not one I am familiar with.
